Goody Tickets Owners Donate to American Heart Association

Goody Tickets President Heather Goodman and CEO Jeff Goodman attended the American Heart Association's 2016 Kansas City Heart and Stroke Ball. They donated $5,000 to the fundraiser in addition to purchasing auction items at the Ball.

 

Overland Park, KS -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/11/2016 -- Goody Tickets President Heather Goodman and CEO Jeff Goodman recently attended the 2016 Kansas City Heart and Stroke Ball. The 29th annual American Heart Association event held at the Kansas City Convention Center successful raised more than 1.2 million dollars from donations and auction sales, including $5,000 donated from Goody Tickets owners. The funds raised at the 2016 Kansas City Heart Ball are used for funding research, advocacy, and education to benefit the Kansas City metro area directly.

The 2016 event co-chairs Kevin Barth, Gordon Lansford, and medical chair Dr. Jim O-Brien announced that this year's Heart and Stroke Ball raised a record breaking amount. The 2015 event raised more than $700,000 while the 2016 Heart and Stroke Ball raised more than 1.2 million dollars. The charitable donation and auction purchases from Goody Tickets owners Jeff and Heather Goodman aided the growth in funds raised at the 2016 event.

The American Heart Association will hold the 30th annual 2017 Kansas City Heart and Stroke Ball on February 25th, 2017. The AHA is able to fight heart disease and stroke with funding from events like the Heart and Stroke ball. Last year, AHA donations from Kansas City supporters made heart and stroke studies possible at local Kansas City metro locations including: Children's Mercy Hospital, Kansas State University, The Stowers Institute, University of Kansas Medical Center, University of Missouri and University of Missouri-Kansas City.
