Goody Tickets owner Heather Goodman supported the 2015 Diabetes Dash For Life 5k/10k race which raised over $36,000 for the KC JDRF. Registration is now open for the upcoming 2016 Diabetes Dash For Life race.
Overland Park, KS -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/16/2016 -- The third annual Diabetes Dash For Life held in Leawood, KS on October 4, 2015 was supported by the help and generosity of Goody Tickets owner Heather Goodman. The upcoming fourth annual Diabetes Dash For Life will be held October 2, 2016. The event is held to raise funds for the Kansas City chapter of the JDRF. Donations and registration fees contribute directly to the JDRF's type 1 diabetes research.
The upcoming 2016 Diabetes Dash For Life race is a 5k/10k with walkers and runners welcome. The event will begin at the American Academy of Family Physicians in Leawood, KS at 7:30 am. Awards will be given out to the best overall male and female finisher in the 5K and 10K, the top overall Masters (over 40) male and female finisher in the 5K and 10K, and top Wheelchair finisher in the 5K and 10K at the 9:00 am awards ceremony. Additional custom awards will be given to the top three finishers in each age division in both 5K and 10K.
