The Harvesters fundraiser Forks and Corks Silent Auction 2015 featured a donation of 4 tickets from Goody Tickets.
Overland Park, KS -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/15/2016 -- Harvesters Forks and Corks silent auction of 2015 included a contribution from Goody Tickets of four tickets. The highest bidder took home the donated tickets within a package bundle and $15,000 was successfully raised for Harvesters from the silent auction event. The 2015 event was the 19th year that Harvesters held their Forks and Corks fundraiser, 100% of proceeds going to feed the hungry in the Kansas City region.
The most recent Forks and Corks event was held April 28, 2016 in the Grand Ballroom at the Kansas City Convention Center. The 20th year of the event featured gourmet food and wine from more than 50 restaurants and wine sellers in the Kansas City area. Tickets were sold at $120 per person with all proceeds going to Harvesters hunger relief effort. The 2015 event which Goody Tickets contributed to saw more than $350,000 raised for Harvesters.
Harvesters services multiple counties in Kansas and Missouri where 1 in 7 people are food insecure. As a member of Feeding America, Harvesters is able to be a part of more than 200 food banks which keep a constant supply of food and water. Food from Harvesters goes to: food pantries, community food kitchens, senior centers, shelters for homeless, and other regional programs.
