Miami, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/22/2016 -- With the Year of the Goat almost over, and the Year of the Monkey set to begin with the Lunar New Year on Feb. 8, 2016, Haute Time has featured five luxurious watches that celebrate the Chinese New Year.

The watches on the list all fall under Haute Time's coverage umbrella—luxury timepieces valued at more than $10,000. The Blancpain Calendrier Chinois Traditionnel offers a dial that features several complications that pay homage to the Chinese calendar, including the signs of the Zodiac, the five elements and the 10 celestial stems.

The Chopard L.U.C XP Urushi, on the other hand, features a lacquered dial with an image of a monkey gathering eight peaches, which is inspired by Chinese iconography. Made by master lacquer artist Minori Koizumi, the scene is popularly believed to bring good luck.

The Ulysse Nardin Classico features an enameled image of the monkey appearing to peek through palm branches on the dial. The final two watches also features images of a monkey, but in vastly different ways.

The Vacheron Constantin Meetiers D'Art La Le?gende du Zodiaque Chinois uses a hand-engraved monkey in platinum or gold as the center of the watch's face. It's surrounded by delicate enamel work and etched metal.

The Harry Winston Premier Monkey Automatic 36MM features a monkey made from yellow gold hanging by its tail from an emerald cut diamond at the 12 o'clock position. Only eight pieces are available, making it the rarest watch on the list.
