Fort Worth, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/23/2014 -- Many women are tired of going to the gym and seeing the same fitness apparel on every woman there. Heather Warner experienced the same, and started wondering if all of the women at her gym had secretly been brainwashed by lululemon in the middle of the night! This is why she started Shine Athletica, to allow women to confidently express themselves through fitness apparel in any environment.
When designing the initial line of Shine Athletica’s fitness apparel, Heather wanted to focus on inspirational and motivational words that women connected with while working out. After lots of brainstorming, she narrowed the initial words down to: Fierce, Peace, Pusher, Love, and Runner. Each word has a personal meaning to her that connects with a feeling she has when exercising.
All of these designs are made out of a vinyl material called ThermoFlex Stretch, which is basically a fancy way of saying that the vinyl on the apparel can endure lots of movement without tearing or cracking. The vinyl is transferred onto the fitness apparel by a machine called a heat press that is set at specific temperature and pressure to ensure that the vinyl will stay on the fabric securely. Screen-Printed designs tend to crack and wear easily after only a few wears and washes, which is why Heather chose to go with a ThermoFlex Heat Press Transfer.
If Shine Athletica receives adequate funding from its Kickstarter campaign, they plan to purchase additional inventory and begin rolling out new designs for their customers immediately. This project will only be funded if at least $2,500 is pledged by Thu, Aug 21 2014 4:47 AM +05:30.
