Hulk Roller-Coaster at Islands of Adventure to Re-Open This Summer

Melbourne, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/15/2016 -- Last year the popular bright green Hulk roller-coaster was closed and taken apart, and since then there were also rumors that the actual ride layout could change. Thoughts are the ride would be getting new cars, track, and in-queue appearance.

The Incredible Hulk roller coaster at Islands of Adventure is currently being revamped, as coaster thrill seekers are disappointed, still theme-park visitors now can see the effects of the bright green rail being put together inside while visiting Universal's Islands of Adventure.

Recently some elements of the Hulk roller coaster thrill ride at Islands of Adventure can be seen going into place from the nearby Islands of Adventure rides and from over the wall that surrounds the construction site. The area that the Hulk's lift in is still stands empty.

According to Universal's blog the new track and cars will ensure an even smoother ride, without losing the thrills that the Incredible Hulk roller-coaster is known for.

Reconstruction activity still can also be spotted from all around the park.

Work on the ride began in September. Universal has not gone into much detail about the changes. In its first announcement, it noted that the ride will get "new enhancements to its storyline, ride vehicles and overall experience." A recent post on the official blog of Universal Orlando said the new rail would make the ride smoother.

Universal officials have also said that the attraction would still be themed as the bright green Incredible Hulk, and the Hulk character is a big part of the construction wall's design.

The Hulk roller coaster ride, originally opened at Islands of Adventure in 1999, and still one of the most popular rides in all of Orlando amusement parks. If all goes as planned, Incredible Hulk Coaster will re-open for thrill seekers this summer.
