Hydraway Installs a New Drainage System for the St. Louis Rams Practice Field

The new drainage system offers an alternative to conventional pipe and rock systems and successfully removes water from soils, announces Hydraway.net

Caseyville, IL -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/23/2015 -- Hydraway announces the successful installation of a new synthetic field drainage system at the St. Louis Rams practice field located in Maryland Heights, Missouri. The product installed was Hydraway 2000, 12", in order to accommodate the sand-based synthetic field, as well to allow the option to return to the use of natural Bermuda grass at a later date.

"Hydraway understands the pressure facility managers are under, and works with each manager to find the right solution for their needs. Fields must not only be visually appealing, but ready for use at any time and in good shape; anything less than usable and the team suffers setbacks, which is unacceptable. Our partnership with the St. Louis Rams allowed us to find the perfect solution to meet their specific needs," Jim Surrell, spokesperson for Hydraway, explains.

When synthetic fields fail to drain properly, they are not only unable to be used, but they become breeding grounds for bacteria and mold. In addition, the ground beneath the artificial turf is no longer able to sustain macro-organisms. As a result, the entire environment becomes unhealthy and puts all who use the field at risk.

One common drainage system for synthetic fields consists of crushed stone and perforated pipes to remove water. Although this system has worked for a number of years, problems have occurred as a result of inadequate drainage capabilities.

With the Hydraway drainage system, soil compaction becomes less of an issue, even during periods of heavy use. In addition, players find the surface to be safer, as they can get a better grip on the turf. This lowers the occurrence of postponed or delayed games due to wet conditions on the field, but it also helps to reduce athlete injuries. These are only a few of the many benefits of using this type of drainage solution.

"Although a number of years have passed since the synthetic field was installed for the St. Louis Rams, companies and organizations can still learn from the experience with this particular field and team. The Hydraway Field Drainage Solutions have worked exactly as intended and the team is pleased with the results. Contact Hydraway to learn how we can be of assistance to you with your drainage needs. We'll work to find the solution that is right for you, just as we did for the St. Louis Rams," Surrell states.

About Hydraway
Hydraway offers the superior Hydraway Drainage System, a system that creates the most effective, state-of-the-art soil water management and waterproofing system available today. The Hydraway Drain removes waters from soil, while relieving the hydrostatic pressure against subsurface structures. The water pulled from the saturated soil moves through a filter fabric, then enters the core, before it is conveyed to an outlet pipe. An engineered alternative to conventional pipe and rock systems, Hydraway provides the solution numerous are looking for when it comes to their drainage problems.
