Shenzhen, China -- (SBWIRE) -- 05/24/2016 -- With more than two thousand PCB prototype and manufacturing companies plying the same trade, iFastPCB, a China based company that aims to increase business overseas, recently announced a host of plans to edge past its competitors. Among the host of plans announced, the most highlighted one was their plan to give more emphasis to selection of quality base materials and on micro-via technology. The owners added that since Chinese PCB manufacturers took a huge blow during the global economic meltdown, they wanted to bring a demand-centric production policy in place.
"We want to lay more emphasis on selection of base material and micro-via technology since these elements are integral to the PCB manufacturing process. Being a top China based PCB manufacturer, the onus is on us to produce quality materials. For this, the choice of the base material comes important. For example, the base material we use in HDI board is thin and the recommended thickness for this material is less than 3 millimetres. On the other hand, auto-electronic products need to be made of base material which is highly heat-resistant and is also highly reliable. Semiconductor packaging needs base material with high flatness and small hole spacing and so on", said a chief engineer of the Chinese PCB prototyping company.
The engineer also said that they are going to put higher emphasis on micro-via technology this year. "We are going to lay more emphasis on research and development of laser drilling, plasma etching, machinery drilling, punching, chemical etching and jet perforation", the engineer added. However, he maintained at present his company mostly employs laser drilling and machinery drilling.
The CEO of iFastPCB met the press here in Guangzhou a day before the launch of a new series of products. The CEO said that they are now in a position to improve product quality, thanks to their recently overhauled manufacturing facility in Southern China. He said that the main aim of the company is to upgrade PCB creation and manufacturing technologies this year.
