ImageFIRST Corporate Office Volunteers at Philabundance

King of Prussia, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/10/2017 -- In alignment with their company values and mission, ImageFIRST Healthcare Laundry Specialists participates in community service efforts on a quarterly basis. This May, eight of the ImageFIRST Corporate Office's associates volunteered at Philabundance, located in downtown Philadelphia. The task at hand was to sort over 13,000 pounds of frozen meat which was stored in the meat locker at Philabundance.

Philabundance is a Philadelphia-based hunger relief organization which was founded in 1984. Their purpose is to end hunger for the three-quarters of a million people in and around the city who face this struggle on a daily basis. The group serves people across the greater Philadelphia area from all walks of life, including seniors who are living off of a fixed income, working families, and women and children who need additional support.

ImageFIRST associates displayed a good-natured competitive spirit at the event. One associate remarked, "In true ImageFIRST style, we out-volunteered the other companies there." The associates worked diligently to sort the meat which had been donated by charitable organizations. Through their efforts that day, they helped to serve some of the 90,000 people that Philabundance helps each week.
