ImageFIRST Los Angeles Hosts Holiday Toy Drive

Portland, OR -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/02/2017 -- Last December, ImageFIRST Los Angeles held a toy drive to provide the children at a school in Long Beach with gifts for the holidays. The drive supported Grant Elementary, a school at which the majority of its students come from low-income households.

Prior to the event, Grant Elementary School's principal attended ImageFIRST's weekly team huddle to help the associates prepare for the drive.

The morning of the drive, ImageFIRST associates purchased toys to give to the children at Grant Elementary School. Afterwards, about 35 associates (along with family members and friends) attended the drive, which benefited each one of the school's students.

In all, ImageFIRST donated $11,000 to Grant Elementary, half of which was raised by associates and the rest of which was matched by ImageFIRST.

According to the school's principal, the children at Grant Elementary were grateful to be selected as ImageFIRST's charity of choice for the season. Their parents were also grateful, as many of them often struggle with having to choose between supplying holiday gifts for their children and purchasing groceries.

ImageFIRST's holiday toy drive fits in with the company's overall spirit of community engagement. Each location, in addition to supplying medical linen and laundry services to Salem, OR, and across the United States, participates in a community giving activity every quarter.
