Immigrants Detained in the UK for over 2 Years: Garth Coates Comments

London, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/24/2017 -- The BBC has recently reported that four males have been held for longer than two years at Brook House immigration removals centre, with a further twenty three people held for over a year – highlighting how much the average length of detentions has grown.

The average stay at the facility has risen from 28 to 48 days, with some individuals being detained for much longer than this. The Home Office has spoken out and said that they do not wish for people to be detained for longer than required, however in some situations they feel that it is necessary. Some people are under the impression that people are being held for longer that they should be due to delays in immigration decision making.

A spokesperson from Garth Coates, one of the UK's leading immigration soliciting companies was incredibly keen to comment saying, "With detainees now being held for such long periods of time it is imperative for all to ensure that they obtain visas for their stays before their travels to ensure they can move stress free. Here at Garth Coates we offer free advice and guidance to all – so anyone who requires assistance should call our team right away."
