Indie fantasy author Tracy Falbe of Battle Creek, Michigan makes it easy for people who love to read to check out how iBooks works. Union of Renegades: The Rys Chronicles Book I is free in the iBooks store that serves over 50 countries around the world.
At her blog Her Ladyship’s Quest she invited people to use Union of Renegades as a free way to try reading an ebook on their new iPhone. She also explained how she has been selling her novels at iBooks since its launch four years ago.
Union of Renegades has already earned praise from iBooks readers.
With an average of 4.5 stars at the U.S. iBooks store, Union of Renegades was called “an amazing book” in a 5-star review. Another reader wrote that it was an “Excellent work of fantasy.”
In Great Britain, a 5-star review described the epic fantasy this way: “A well written and deeply engaging story line, the characters are interesting and the setting is easy to imagine with the descriptive writing. I will be downloading the rest of the series.”
Union of Renegades is a full length novel that launches The Rys Chronicles series that continues in The Goddess Queen, Judgment Rising, and The Borderlands of Power.
The first novel begins as Dreibrand Veta and the conquering Horde of the Atrophane Empire reach a mythic Wilderness that beckons with a magical call to glory. But Onja, Queen of the rys, a race far more powerful than the greatest human state, guards this land. She has the power to imprison souls and her genocidal rage is legendary. Everything is at risk for her desperate enemies, the union of renegades.
Falbe has published nine fantasy novels. Her tenth novel Journey of the Hunted: Werewolves in the Renaissance 2 will release on November 8. It is already available at iBooks as a preorder.
The indie author began self publishing in 2006, but she had been writing fiction seriously since 1997. Unable to gain the attention of publishers, she chose to produce her work independently and has no regrets.
“Writing novels and connecting with readers are my greatest joys. I’ve been writing for 17 years and I’ll keep doing it. I have no trouble coming up with stories. Making time to write them down is the challenge,” Falbe said.
She operates Brave Luck Books http://www.braveluck.com to produce and sell her fiction worldwide. She can be easily contacted through her website.
