Syracuse, NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/07/2016 -- DEAD LAST, a modern day 1970s styled 'Classic Rock' indie rock group, this week officially launched a Kickstarter campaign for garnering widespread support and financial backing for financing its latest album, which aims to bring a "New Classic Rock" sound to the music landscape.
DEAD LAST is a musical group with roots dating back to the 1960's, which has been using the name "Dead Last" since the 1990's. The six members who comprise DEAD LAST are all highly accomplished musicians who have performed, written, produced and recorded their own music numerous times since the 1970's. The group is not connected with any charitable interests, political agendas and/or religious persuasions.
"DEAD LAST is a musical group who's origins date back to when "Classic Rock" was just called "Rock", & aspiring young Rock musicians couldn't wait to play at the next local party, dance or back yard jam," said project creator Chael Stone. "While walkin' down the street on any given summer day, chances are you'd be hearing live music Rockin-Out from somewhere in the neighborhood. It was New York in the 60's. Music was going to change the world & we were all invited. This was where the original members of DEAD LAST, while still in school, first met & began playing together."
The Band states that it has turned to a crowdfunding campaign for the first time so that they can record & make available an album, slated for release in 2017. They plan to use the proceeds to record at the recording studio "Pangea" as well as for writing, editing, mastering, and video editing the album. "[The album] will contain 100% "New Classic Rock", which is a term the Band came up with in 2010, meaning: Classic Rock You Never Heard Before!" said Stone.
