Indiegogo Campaign Launched for Shark Dad and Moon Jr. Studios in Saint Louis

 

St Louis, MO -- (SBWIRE) -- 04/14/2015 -- Jason Robinson, lead singer of St. Louis band Shark Dad, and Shawn Manny, Shark Dad's drummer and founder of Moon Jr. Studios have launched a crowdfunding campaign on Indiegogo to raise $ 1996 for their joint effort.

Moon Jr. Studios is a total conversion of a residential basement in to a full fledged recording space will all the essential equipment required for making great-sounding records, including "A Bigger Boat", the latest from Shark Dad.

The campaign, "Build Moon Jr. Studios in Saint Louis!" will close on May 10, 2015 and Jason, Shawn and their team are well on their way to their funding goal.

Shark Dad is a garage punk band while Moon Jr. Studios is a DIY recording studio and together they identify themselves as an ambitious group of people who love the music scene in St Louis and want to produce great records and support local artists.

Jason said: "We're a small passionate band and Recording Studio … what we don't have in funds, we have in sheer DIY-TILL-YOU-DIE attitude and the desire to do it right! We want to finish our first record and complete our studio space, so we are kicking off this campaign to kill two birds with one stone."

According to the funds distribution provided by Jason on the Indiegogo campaign brief, the $ 1996 will be distributed in the following manner:

Studio PC - $760.98 with various necessary equipment
Acoustic Treatments - $200
Mastering of "A Bigger Boat" - $500 ($50/track at Blue Jade Mastering)
Physical CDs of "A Bigger Boat" - $200 (1st small run - ~100 units)
And an estimated cost of Misc hardware, cables, etc. - $335.02

Moon Jr. Studio will not only be dedicated to Shard Dad music, it will also provide services to other musicians. Shark Dad and Moon Jr. Studio Manager Shawn Manny have requested music lovers and musicians to support the campaign by contributing money to the project; the team will be giving away certain perks as tokens of appreciation. The team also encourages people to share the campaign to show their support.
