Miami Lakes, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 01/14/2013 -- An infant was hospitalized in St. Louis on Friday, January 11, 2013 after the baby girl’s grandmother lit a cigarette.

According to preliminary findings, the grandmother removed her oxygen to light a cigarette, which caused a fire, that then burned the baby on her arms, chest and hand. The grandmother immediately grabbed the infant and ran outside the flaming trailer home.

The baby girl was taken to Caardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital for burn treatment.
