Shenzhen, Guangdong -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/22/2017 -- Instagram Live broadcast has been one of the most popular online broadcasting platforms in US. On March 20th, the company officially updated Instagram to V10.12 by adding a "Save" option on the broadcast screen, which enables broadcasters to choose to save Live video to phone for future review or sharing. This update is available to both iOS and Android devices.

Just like Facebook Live and Periscope, Instagram Live has also gained a great many broadcasters to broadcast live performances and daily life. "Starting today, you'll have the option to save your live video to your phone at the end of a broadcast. While live videos will continue to disappear from the app when you're done, this update gives you the flexibility to hold onto your video and re-watch it later, especially if something exciting happens during your broadcast that you want to remember or share." It is extremely easy to get to the new feature. On the new version, when the live broadcast is over, there is a "Save" option in the upper right corner. Broadcasters could click this "Save" button to save live video to phone, in either iPhone's Camera Roll or Android's videos. However, this "Save" feature will only help broadcasters save the live video, not the comments, likes, number of viewers or any other interactions during the live. When the live video is saved, there will appear a "Done" button as notice. That means the live video has been successfully saved to your phone.

This new features is of great significance for Instagram Live broadcasters when they would like to re-watch the Live stream or share live videos with friends. Previously, broadcasters could only make Instagram Live stream over Internet. Now, they get a chance to transfer Live video to computer and then edit live video before uploading to blog, sending to friends, or sharing with followers.

This update is right now available as part of Instagram version 10.12 available for iOS in the Apple App Store and for Android in Google Play. According to Instagram, this is just the first of many improvements Instagram is making to live stories this year.
