It's Time to Hide in Time: Celebrated New Sci-Fi/Western Novel Proves Modern Males Have Lost the Tools to Be 'Real Men'

Masterfully crafted by David Robin, ‘It’s Time to Hide in Time’ fuses high-technology with the Old West, time travel and even the establishment of civilization in a distant galaxy. This cocktail of themes also sits on the rocks of a real-world showcase of how lax and inept modern men are; a direct cause of the United States’ rapid decline.

Klamath Falls, OR -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/12/2014 -- While Science Fiction and Westerns have long been staples of the literary world, they rarely meet. In his compelling and razor-sharp new novel, author David Robin sees both genres collide with gusto. At the same time, Robin uses his narrative to prove a very bold point – those living today have lost the ability to be ‘real men’.

Everything is exposed in ‘It’s Time to Hide in Time’, which blends fact and fiction to tell the story of modern-day man, Parker Franks.

Synopsis:

Franks discovers a power second in importance to Jesus and, after selling its formula to the President of the United States, becomes an overnight billionaire. The formula discovers many new things such as anti-gravity, invisibility, teleportation and time travel. However, there’s a leak in the Government, and agents come after Parker’s family and will do anything (including murder) to get the formula.

Parker uses his discovery to help his family escape to the Old West, where they train in the art of survival. Using his newfound riches, Parker also constructs a huge complex so his family can live in both the Old West and modern times at their will. This life teaches him to be a real man, leading to his qualification as a U.S. Marshall. Parker helps clean up the criminal element in the area and, through the many people he meets, comes to know the true meaning of inner strength.

However, unknown enemies destroy the ranch, forcing Parker to help his family and close friends once again escape, this time to a distant galaxy where they start a new life on a fresh planet. Aptly named Parker’s Planet, Parker proves that being a bad a## is no bar to helping locals and having a big heart.

“The message in this book is simple; real men built this country, but that type of man doesn’t exist anymore,” explains Robin. “People used to be real men. They used to know how to be kind and trustworthy to their friends but also how to win over their enemies. This loss of attitude is directly responsible for the destruction our once-great nation has endured.”

Continuing, “The Empire such as the one Parker built was lost by evil men. The next book in the series, ‘Parker’s Planet’, explains more.”

Since its release, this first volume has garnered a string of rave reviews.

For example, Rebecca Silver comments, “All I got to say is PARKER FRANKS IS ONE BAD A## DUDE! Parker Franks may be a leathery cowboy, but his heart only cherished what matter to him most, his family & friends!! Five stars to the author who is very ingenious to synchronize the past and the future in this sensational story!”

Tammie adds, “Take time to read this book. You will really like this book. Great up in coming author. Looking for a sequel.”
