Data-Oriented Approach to Design and Build Streamlines Construction Process
Warwickshire, UK -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/27/2015 -- Jason Laity Design, an architectural firm serving Leamington and Warwickshire, announced today that it is now offering Building Information Modelling (BIM) services as part of its offerings to clients. Laity is one of the few firms to offer BIM in the area. BIM, a relatively new approach to the design-build process, uses specialized software and extensive data about a building to streamline the construction process and save money and time.
"What everyone in the industry is realizing is that a building, including its design, is really a huge collection of data," said Jason Laity, Principle Designer. "The more access you have over that data and the more easily you can manipulate it, the better the whole design-build process will go. That's the value of BIM."
Known for high-level service to clients, the firm has completed numerous projects in the region. These include Old Town Square, an architectural commission for a bespoke single-storey development in Stratford-Upon-Avon and Railway Crescent, architectural works for a residential property in Ships ton-On-Stour.
The firm's design philosophy is based on the idea that the quality of space and environment are key. They strive to deliver architecture that promotes a high standard of end user experience, whether that be to live, work or play. Laity has eleven years experience in the architectural industry. His RIBA certified qualifications in the field include a First Class Degree in Architecture and a Diploma with Distinction in Architecture and Urban Design. Jason has had involvement with both national and international projects with some of the UK's leading practice's such as Aedas, 3DReid, Associated and C+W Architects.
