The MetraFlow®'s main purpose is the metering of challenging fluids and liquids for both the research and water industries.
The MetraFlow® through-flow flowmeter uses Titan's patented transit-time ultrasonic technology to precisely measure liquid traveling through a Perfluoroalkoxy, or PFA, flow tube. With similar properties of Teflon, PFA is a fluoropolymer that is very resistant to aggressive chemicals. The PFA flow tube is a singular piece of tubing void of obstructions or dead areas, allowing for controlled and uninterrupted metering analyses.
The engineers at Titan have mastered ultrasonic flow measuring technology for liquids passing through the flow tube within ± 1% of reading and down to 20 ml/min (0.32 gph), an improvement over previous versions of the Atrato Series MetraFlow® systems. The system's compact integrated electronics, including local display and sensor package, offers superior performance in a single assembly. Of significant importance, the computer and operational connections are separate to allow both setting and interface monitoring during normal operation.
For convenience and ease-of-operation, the engineering units, set points, time base, and analog and digital outputs can all be set through the USB connector and meter interface software. Other observable parameters include minimum flow cut-off, display/output damping, computer-based data logging, and a negative flow flag can be configured through the USB interface.
