John Dracup Looks to Raise $20,000 via Indiegogo to Develop Anonymail

Anonymail aims to provide Craigslist-style email obfuscation to individuals and businesses.

Buffalo, NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/20/2014 -- Anonymail hopes to provide a quality email obfuscation service for marketplace (or other) apps and websites by allowing users to hook into their application via an API. This service will allow members to communicate with each other or guests both easily and safely. Anonymail will act as a middleman in each conversation. Each email get’s sent to them first, they assign a new, unique email address to the conversation, and then forward it on to receiver. Neither party ever knows the other’s real email address.

The fist step will be creating an user account on Anonymail website. The account will allow users to moderate all obfuscated emails created automatically by their application in addition to manually creating, suspending, or removing such accounts. Through the account area users will also be able to access the Anonymail support hub, which houses the knowledgebase and can put users in touch with technical support.

Email obfuscation for individuals is far less complicated than for apps and websites. Essentially, Anonymail will establish a random address at one of their own sub-domains (or a domain name users provide). Users can then give out this random address when they wish to remain anonymous. Anonymail will forward all messages sent to their primary address. Users will have the option of switching the obfuscation from two way to one way - where their email address remains hidden, but the people mailing them do not.

The funding budget of $20,000 will be spent on initial release development, legal consultation & incorporation fees, hardware & software purchase/lease, and technical support team training/pay. This campaign will receive all funds raised even if it does not reach its goal. Funding duration: March 18, 2014 - April 30, 2014 (11:59pm PT).
