Just Frank: Guinness World Recording Setting Inventor Releases New Memoir

Written by Franklin G. Reick, ‘Just Frank: My Life as an Intrepid Inventor’ is the rousing story of Reick’s life as an award-winning inventor.

New York, NY -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/14/2014 -- An award-winning inventor, Reick’s life mission is to spread the word about his work, and ignite people’s imaginations in the process.

With the release of his new memoir, ‘Just Frank: My Life as an Intrepid Inventor’, Reick is sharing the secrets of his eighty-three years on the planet, imparting his wisdom for those in the industry, and discussing his many successes (and failures) as an inventor.

“Many people might know me from my Internet videos touting the benefits of Tufoil® – which holds the Guinness World Record for the “World’s Most Efficient Lubricant,” says the author. “Or perhaps from my ads for my latest invention HinderRUST™, which is a super lubricant and rust inhibitor. Either way, it’s great fun to be recognized for my successes – and equally as important to discuss the inventions that have failed. There’s a lesson in that, which runs through my memoir – and it’s one that I think should be taught in schools – ‘never give up’. Perseverance has always been the name of the game with me.”

Specifically geared toward business schools and entrepreneurs, ‘Just Frank: My Life as an Intrepid Inventor’ is a thrilling look at the moment of discovery, the power of the right product, and a peek into one of the most creative minds today.

FRANK REICK WAS BORN to invent. He’s been inventing since he was five and has forty patents and inventions to show for it. His inventions range from diagnostic medical instruments, toys, and ski wax to sealants and lubricants. Reick graduated with an engineering degree from Syracuse University in 1952. His first career was working with General Electric on cathode ray tube technology for color televisions.

Later he worked with ITT Corporation on the 465L Strategic Command and Control System . Disillusioned with the rampant bureaucracy, he left the corporate world to become an entrepreneur and focus on his true passion—inventing. His first successful product, Formula-8, a thread used in gaseous and liquid oxygen applications, led to the formation of his company, Fluoramics. Their flagship product, Tufoil®, the result of eight years of research, was recognized in 1996 as “The World’s Most Efficient Lubricant” by the Guinness Book of World Records—a title it still holds today. In 1998 he was a finalist for Inc Magazine’s “Entrepreneur of the Year” award. Frank Reick was also chosen “Inventor of the Year at NJIT for his work in superconductivity and currently holds a place in the “Inventor’s Hall of Fame”. Since its release, ‘Just Frank: My Life as an Intrepid Inventor’ has earned a five star rating on Amazon and rave reviews.

“One of the most compelling books I have read in several years. Mr. Reick appealed to my sense of adventure. Most important I found that his logic infiltrates his invention style... proving time after time his ability to feel the market pulse and the need for a product or device to commercially satisfy both the consumer and Industry,” wrote Al Needleman, Executive Director, CosmetiKare Laboratories LLC.

“Everyone should read this book. In fact, it should be required reading in our schools. Kids today need to know that they can be anything they want to be and with imagination and hard work it can happen. Frank Reick is a perfect example of this. A man with a passion who followed his dream. This book will inspire any reader. I highly recommend it,” wrote Jean Murphy.

“This is an intriguing biography about a self-made successful businessman, inventor and real life human being. Its a remarkable adventure through a man's life - failures and successes. Its a motivational book that is much needed in our times of discouragement and entailments. A "must read" for people at all levels,” wrote Frank Hiza.
