Now, the company has launched an IndieGoGo campaign to raise funds for scholarships for two students, eight schools and free shuttle service. All money raised through this campaign will be used to pay for academic scholarships, fund school systems with additional funds to help needy students and families, and allow free student transportation.
Four years ago, with the downturn of the economy, the Evergreen school district eliminated bus transportation for the district. Since that time, parents have been required to find their own way to and from school. KidsCoolRide, LLC hopes to become a high quality, customer service oriented, technology enabled, low-cost leader in getting students with limited transportation options to and from school and after school programs. Many parents simply cannot afford to take time off of work and often do not have a way of getting children to after-school activities, field trips and other extracurricular events. As a result, these children are often left out and are unable to participate in these events. A key feature setting them apart is the use of specific technology involving algorithms in driver apps that makes each route efficient and cost effective. Now, the company has launched its 1st Annual Campaign to award $2,500 scholarships for college, four $1,000 1st place and four more $250 2nd place donations, along with and free awards for student transportation during the 2015-2016 academic year.
