Kurrasa.com Launches a New Service Allowing Visitors to Rate Schools in Saudi Arabia

Riyadh, Kingdom Of Saudi Arabia -- (SBWIRE) -- 02/17/2014 -- Kurrasa.com, Saudi Arabia’s first online school directory, launched today a new service allowing visitors to rate Saudi schools. Rate-a-School is mainly targeting parents of school-aged children, but also allows teachers and students to review and rate their schools.

Visitors are now able to rate their schools on 7 different categories; Academic Level, Teachers and Administrators, Athletic Activities, Extracurricular Activities, Buildings, Facilities & Facilities, Arabic & Quran, and finally Transportation.

The service also allows the visitors to include a school review of no more than 1000 words allowing parents and students to describe their experience with a certain school. The rating results are then used to generate a visitor-generated, Top Rated Schools list for each city in Saudi Arabia and kingdom-wide.

Omar Matar, the cofounder of Kurrasa.com explains: "We have just launched this service and we’re already finding out more information about schools than what you’d find on a school brochure. Parents are providing valuable information in their reviews and addressing key issues that interest other parents and influence their decisions of whether to enroll their kids in a school or not. I expect this service to be equally as useful to schools as well. School administrators can find out their key strengths and leverage on them and similarly can pinpoint their weaknesses and try to improve on them. This is as close to a live feedback as it can get.”
