Lamar Hunt Jr.'s Team the Missouri Mavericks Gain Goalie

Lamar Hunt Jr's Missouri Mavericks hire new goalie before the opening of the 2015-16 season. Jason Missiaen was hired as a Mavericks goalie with a standard player contract.

 

Kansas City, MO -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/28/2015 -- Lamar Hunt Jr.'s premier hockey team, the Missouri Mavericks, have hired Jason Missiaen as a new goalie for their upcoming 2015-16 season. Missiaen's standard player contract with the Mavericks was announced Wednesday September 23rd.

The career of 25 year old Ontario Cananda native Missiaen has been filled with time spent playing for teams in the ECHL as well as the American Hockey League. Originally Missiaen was drafted into the NHL in round 4 by the Montreal Canadians. After four seasons of play, Missiaen will be leaving the Greenville Road Warriors to play for the Mavericks. Missiaen has also spent time playing for the American Hockey league team the Hartford Wolf Pack and Connecticut Whale.

Head Coach Richard Matvichuk has said that Missiaen will participate in the upcoming Missouri Mavericks training camp in preparation of the season opening later this October. The Mavericks play their home-opening game October 24 at the Independence Events Center.
