Kansas City, MO -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/27/2015 -- Lamar Hunt Jr. continues to give his time and financially contribute to the Loretto Foundation, a supporter of Ozanam, an emotional and behavioral support organization of Kansas City. Ozanam helps at-risk youth in the Kansas City, regularly holding fundraising events to bring together supporters of the group. A family friendly Open Disc Golf Tournament fundraiser took place Saturday, September 26.

The recent open disc golf tournament raised funds to benefit special projects of the Ozanam Foundation, a separate not-for profit corporation that financially supports Ozanam. The tournament was held at the Thornfeild Disc Golf Course, a private disc golf course designed by Dennis Vahsholtz and Bill Paulson on the property of Bill and Bo Stueck.

The Loretto Foundation with help from Lamar Hunt Jr., contributes to charities like the Ozanam organization which treats at-risk youth. The foundation is committed to it's guiding principles which concern promoting charities that assist the needs of the poorest and most vulnerable people.

Ozanam has grown from it's inception in 1948 to become a multi-service organization actively offering campus-based and educational services. The organization currently offers treatment for children and young adults with learning disabilities, emotional and behavioral problems. More than 200 youth are helped daily by Ozanam through an on-campus school, as well as residential treatment and family focus programs.

The Ozanam Open Disc Golf Tournament is a four-person scramble style tournament and began September 26 at 9:00 am, registration was held at 8:00 am with the opening of the practice fields.
