Little Free Library Retains Mark Alfuth, Former CFO of Minnesota Public Radio, as Its New CFO

 

Madison, WI -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/31/2014 -- Little Free Library is thrilled to announce that Mark Alfuth, former Chief Financial Officer of American Public Media Group/Minnesota Public Radio, has come on board effective July 1, 2014, to help position the young nonprofit with a global reach for increased financial strength, effectiveness and strategic impact.

Mr. Alfuth currently teaches at Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College and the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire focusing on accounting and finance. Prior to this Mr. Alfuth was the Chief Financial Officer of Minnesota Public Radio/American Public Media Group for 13 years, and also spent 15 years in financial leadership roles with American Express.

Mr. Alfuth earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin at Eau Claire and an MBA from the Carlson School of Management at the University of Minnesota.

In his role with Little Free Library, Mr. Alfuth will work closely with the board of directors and Executive Director and Co-founder Todd H. Bol on financial reporting, revenue development and setting a strategic vision and direction for the next few years.
