Maharashtra, India -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/25/2014 -- MAEER's MIT Institute of Design, a renowned fashion designing institute in India delivers the concept of design habitat, which is in fact a logical and organic extension of their stated philosophy that ensures a total generalist ambience to enable design learning. They invite mentors from various design related disciplines to interact with the design learners and also challenge young minds to explore new in order to strengthen their ongoing design learning.
Also, the mentors are selected from the following disciplines such as, biomechanics, alternative energy systems, linguistics (semiotics), performing arts, plastic arts, design anthropology, and many others. With the top most fashion design courses in India, the mentors ensure that their interaction will ultimately lead to an inclusive and sustained learning which directly or indirectly related to designing.
Discussing more about innovative concepts of learning, a spokesperson from the MAEER's MIT Institute of Design further elaborates, “Distributing the course contents in the form of projects is an obvious and time tested method. Each project would be formulated so as to necessitate the participation of a mentor and one or two young aspirants pursuing the same discipline as the participating mentors. The team thus formed would be led by a member of the permanent faculty of the Institute. Sometimes the project might be so designed as to the participation of mentors from more than one discipline if needed.”
Additionally, their main focus would be on humane and logical application of Twenty First Century technologies, arts and sciences in order to solve the problems of human habitat in India.
