Marvel Unveiled the Secret Behind Thor's Absence from Captain America: Civil War

Marvel posted a clip on Facebook and twitter explaining why Thor is absent during Civil War between Captain America and Iron Man. Thor is staying with his room-mate Darryl in Australia.

Shenzhen, Guangdong -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/30/2016 -- Marvel released a short video clip on Twitter and Facebook on August 27th, explaining why Thor, the Norse god and one of the Avengers, was absent in Civil War while Captain America and Iron Man were having a big fight. In the video, he was in Australia, enjoying his life under a bathrobe with his room-mate named Darryl.

In the movie, Marvel answered a lot of questions about its cinematic universe, like unveiling the history of Hydra, and setting philosophical boundaries between Avengers. But there's one question remained – Where was Thor at this intense point when his fellow superheroes are at each other's throats? In actuality, Thor was living with a guy named Darryl, trying his best to bug him at work and attempting to find out more about Marvel villains in an innocent way.

People will find this video clip again when they watch the digital HD edition of Captain America: Civil War, which will be out on September 2nd. And this clip would be included as an additional bonus feature on that edition. Also the clip contains clues of the next big super villain that the Avengers are going to fight at the future Marvel movies: a purple extraterrestrial space warlord Thanos that was seen on a rough drawing Thor's been seen pointing at in the clip.

While Steve Rogers and Tony Stark were lining up and fighting each other, there's another superhero missing from the Civil War, Bruce Banner, aka, the Hulk. Bruce Banner was absent for the fight but has the time to hit the café with his godlike friend in the new video, during which he took a phone call from Tony Stark. Tony says he's been trying to get in touch with Thor but failed with a raven, the man's preferred way of contact. Apparently Tony's trying to avoid Thor from participating in the fight with the fear that he may choose the wrong side. So Tony's thought is that it's better to keep Thor in the dark. The screenwriters said that both Thor and Bruce Banner's Hulk were too powerful to be part of the Civil War. With Thor and the Hulk, A god and an unstoppable superweapon, this domestic dispute within the Avengers has the potential to become an unmitigated disaster or even worse, a world-ending event. Although Thor was missing from the Civil War, he's moving out of Darryl's apartment and coming back real soon.
