London, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/26/2015 -- Music lovers and more particularly, those who follow music awards, may be interested in the news that Mayden Hollywood has been nominated for the best of British Unsigned Music Awards. Though Mayden Hollywood is at present residing in Los Angeles, he was originally from Birmingham, England. That he has beaten thousands of others for being named in the UK's top ten Unsigned Bands is certainly a great feat. He has been nominated in the Best Song Category at the UMAs 2015.

Mayden Hollywood, though British born, is an American producer singer and songwriter. Earlier, he used to be an A&R Professional for Balance Productions, a New York city based production company and it was here he learned the ins and outs of the music business.

Mayden Hollywood says, "today Music is considered to be a culturally enriching Art form and I'm very proud to be able to be a part of it." He adds, "there has been no better time to be an Recording Artist than now."

It was during 2012 that Unsigned Music Awards were launched and over 23,000 music fans including celebrities like folk star Frank Turner and International footballer Gareth Bale cast their votes for choosing the nominees and winners.

Other categories covered under Unsigned Music Awards include the Best Female Singer, the Best Male singer and the Best Song. Molly Smitten-Downes has previously won in the Best Song category and he went on to represent the UK at the Eurovision Song Contest.

Best of British Unsigned, otherwise known as BoB Unsigned, is hosting the awards and they will be choosing the winner in every category through an online public voting system. BoB Unsigned is UK's number one website for 'Unsigned Music' and they are popular for their weekly radio show aired on 70FM stations in 15 countries. Best of British Unsigned is a non-profit organization that does not charge artists to submit music. Likewise, they do not charge radio stations to play the shows.

The Unsigned Music Awards 2015 will see a new and fifth award called 'The Critic's Choice'. All eyes are now on Mayden Hollywood because they hope he will impress a panel of three industry experts. The judges for this year's awards are Huey Morgan, Fun Lovin' Criminals frontman and presenter for BBC 6 Music, Max Helyer, guitarist for rock band 'You Me at Six' and staff at the music magazine 'Q'.
