Meizu Launched the MX6 with an All-Metal Design and Affordable Price for Android Fans

Meizu Technology launched its new flagship smartphone MX6 in Beijing, which comes with an all-mental design and a cheaper price compared to Meizu Pro 6.

Shenzhen, Guangdong -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/24/2016 -- Chinese smartphone manufacturer Meizu Technology launched its new flagship smartphone MX6 early this week in Beijing. With a metallic design and a deca-core processor, the Meizu MX6 closely resembles the Meizu Pro 6, which was unveiled three months ago, but at a more affordable price. Meizu MX6 is announced at $299, which is $90 less than the cheapest version of Pro 6. Just like the Pro 6, the MX6 features a 10-core processor (albeit a slightly slower one) and an all-metal design, as well as some other pretty features and designs.

Meizu MX6 features a slightly slower MediaTek Helio X20 processor that comes clocked at 2.3GHz. It still packs a hefty RAM of 4GB, and offers 32GB internal storage inside. MX6 is also equipped with 10-core A72-based CPU and 4GB RAM. The phone features a 5.5 inch display with Sony IMX386 CMOS sensor.

MX6 OS comes with Flyme 5.2.2 version based on Marshmallow with Cloud Permission Control, Eye Protection Mode, Auto exposure mode and long screenshot feature. On the camera configuration, Meizu MX6 offers 12 MP rear camera and 5 MP front camera, which is the same as the camera configuration of iPhone 6s.

Meizu MX 6 features Flyme 5.1 OS like Meizu M3s, which was released about one week ago. However, the M3s runs a MediaTek MT6750 octa-core processor. Both MX6 and M3s come with a 3060 mAh battery. Both the phones are available in four color variants of silver, gray, gold, and rose gold.

The company has also announced the Loop Jacket, a smart cover with a circular cutout (reminiscent of LG's Quick Circle case) that will work with the MX6, Pro 6, and Note3. The case will allow users to answer calls and check notifications without having to activate the entire display. The $15 Meizu Loop Jacket and the Meizu MX6 will both be available for purchase on July 30th in China.

Meizu may not be so well-known outside of its homeland like other two China's smartphone manufacturers: Huawei and Xiaomi, but the company has got lots of fans in China and are attracting more and more Android fans from other countries.

Thanks to its iPhone-inspired design and affordable price, Meizu MX6 also attracts many iPhone users, leading them to switch from iPhone to the new Android phone. And people can keep all important iPhone files into the MX6 by taking advantage of the iPhone-to-Android data transfer software to transfer important data, like music, videos, pictures, contacts and so on, from iPhone to MX6.
