MetroPCS Dallas White Rock Marathon Makes Record-breaking Donation to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children

TSRHC patient families, DWRM board members, and sponsors celebrate success of 2011 race with official check presentation.

 

Dallas, TX -- (SBWIRE) -- 03/16/2012 -- Dallas White Rock Marathon® board members and sponsors presented Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children (TSRHC) with a record donation of $1 million from the 2011 MetroPCS® Dallas White Rock Marathon®, half marathon and relays. Funds contributed to TSRHC by the Dallas White Rock Marathon® are from race revenues, corporate sponsorships, online fundraising and individual gifts.

TSRHC patient and 2011 Junior Race Director, Mabeth Diaz, age 13 of Dallas, and TSRHC Patient Champions and families helped present the check to the hospital. DWRM sponsor, Park Place Porsche Dallas, provided a Porsche for display during the reception. In addition to presenting the $1 million donation, the DWRM board also presented the Victory Award for Excellence to Chuck Dannis, and Ed Jackson received the Spirit Award.
