Matawan, NJ -- (SBWIRE) -- 06/24/2014 -- Film makers, Michael Ironside and Dean Richards are influenced by the movies that they grew up with as kids. These were the Science fiction action horror movies of the 70’s and 80’s, made by directors like Stanley Kubrick, John Carpenter, and Ridley Scott, who put so much attention to detail suspense and atmosphere into their films. They had real respect for the genre and it showed in the way they did their work. Viewpoint will follow in the tradition of sci-fi that doesn't only make one think, but has action which drives the story and has a real emotional impact.

The short film is about an individual who has been blackmailed into a dangerous mission for which he only has a 10 minute timescale or be faced with fatal consequences. The film will more or less be running in real time.

Therefore, the viewers will experience the tense moments with the protagonist and be totally immersed into the action. Moreover, the film will be shot with practical in camera effects and lighting, as much as possible.

This project already has a great team ready to go. Collectively their past film work includes titles Like Prometheus, Dark Shadows and Gravity as well as countless commercials video games and TV shows. With adequate funding from Kickstarter, they will definitely be able to achieve what is needed to hire the best cast and crew possible to bring Viewpoint to screen.
