On May 7, 2015, Microchip Technology Incorporated (NASDAQ: MCHP) and Micrel, Incorporated (NASDAQ:MCRL) announced that Microchip Technology Incorporated has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Micrel, Incorporated for $14.00 per share.
