The teacher training colleges of MITSOE try to equip their teacher trainees with skills that are learner centred, provide experiential learning. At MITSOE teacher trainees are taught and trained to handle diverse learning styles catering to multiple intelligences by using cooperative techniques and constructivist approaches. In addition, they are consistently providing opportunities for expanding the experiences of student-teachers in educational and non-educational activities like visits to inclusive school, science centre, forming science and language clubs, organizing workshops, seminars, symposiums etc. They also develop strong self-esteem and high personal expectations in the student– teachers.
At MITSOE, in Loni, Alandi and Kothrud B. Ed colleges, they are providing Sanskrit subject education and Economics subject education separately. In addition, they are also running M. A. (Education) affiliated to YCMOU at Kothrud Branch. MITSOE also provides diploma and certificate courses in ‘Early Child Care Education.
