Zhuhai, Guangdong -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/04/2015 -- Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College (UIC) has been expanding its collaborations overseas this past year to establish more Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and exchange agreements.

This year UIC has welcomed different agreements and mutual understandings with Swansea University and the University of Westminster from the UK and Eureka College from the USA.In addition, an agreement for UIC students to participate in a summer programme has been established with Cornell University.

A big part of these agreements include the opportunity to provide study abroad programmes for students as well as possible research collaboration between the universities.

UIC's International Development Office (IDO) supports and facilitates UIC's international mission to creatively and dynamically integrate international and national experiences of education in China. The IDO aims to provide every UIC student with valuable opportunities to study in different cultures and to welcome international students to come and study at UIC from all over the world and to provide them with the relevant services

Swansea University, the University of Westminster and Eureka College will join the list of UIC's other collaborative partners including South Korean universities the University of Seoul and Kyung Hee University. In Europe, UIC is partnered with Lille Catholic University and Science Poin France as well as Pforzheim University in Germany plus Middlesex University and the University of Kent in the United Kingdom. Across the Pacific, UIC has established a solid partnership with Canada's Saint Mary's University and the University of Alberta. From the USA there is a vast list of universities such as Augsburg College, Bethany Lutheran College, College of St. Scholastica, Concordia College, Gustavus Adolphus College, Hamline University, Towson University, Westfield State College, Worcester State University, St. Catherine University, Concordia University and Georgia Southern University. Finally, UIC heads down under to Australia for the collaborative partnership with Queensland University of Technology.

Beijing Normal University-Hong Kong Baptist University United International College was founded in 2005 and is located in Guangdong province, which is in the southern region of China. It uses English as the medium to conduct classes and is the first full-scale cooperation in higher education between the Mainland and Hong Kong as well as one of the first English language liberal arts universities in Mainland China.
