Hapton, Lancashire -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/19/2016 -- Recent tests have shown that some of the meat produced from British pigs is infected with a livestock strain of MSRA. This has raised concerns throughout the UK, with a number of people now refusing to eat pork.

The bug which can cause severe health problems has been found in pork products that have been for sale at supermarkets including Asda and Sainsbury's. In addition to this a loophole has been found within import regulations – with the door currently being held open for MRSA CC398-infected live pigs from Denmark where the disease is presently rife.

MRSA CC398 contains potentially fatal bacteria which can even be resistant to the strongest of antibiotics, so it is no wonder that people have been left so scared. Each year the bug kills roughly 300 people in England and Wales alone.
