Philadelphia, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/26/2014 -- A new tradition has started in the city of Philadelphia. After its inaugural event in 2014, Mummers Mardi Gras is gearing up for the highly anticipated second installment in 2015. The biggest Mardi Gras party in Philadelphia, the event allows spectators and visitors to experience up close and personal encounters with many brigades of the renowned Mummers associations.
The event will feature string bands, dancers, DJs, and plenty of food and entertainment. The many Philadelphia Mummers brigades are presented with an opportunity to come together and treat the residents and visitors of the city with six hours of special performances. With the entertainment options, the brigades will have a chance to sit back and watch other performances while enjoying the atmosphere. There is still room to become involved with the event, so those who would like to sponsor or perform, please contact the production company, ADVENT consulting, through the website.
In 2015, the venue will change to provide a child and family-friendly atmosphere. According to the production company, they have talked and visited various venues in Manayunk and Philadelphia in preparation for March. As soon as a venue is selected, those interested in attending this newly established tradition can find all the information they need directly on the website.
Check back often for ticket availabilities and end the carnival season at the Mummers Mardi Gras, just a couple months removed from the New Years’ Philly Mummers parade. A portion of proceeds will benefit the Mummers. They appreciate all the tremendous amount of support they have received from the Mardi Gras experience.
