Philadelphia, PA -- (SBWIRE) -- 07/27/2015 -- As an event that was produced in an effort to raise awareness and funds for the Mummers tradition in Philadelphia, Mummers Mardi Gras has been met with great success and support. Through numerous sponsorships and advertising methods, the event has consistently grown in its first two years, and the producers are looking to maintain that rising trend. In between the annual event, supporters are encouraged to show their appreciation through the purchase of "I am a Mummer" merchandise, which is now available on the website.
During the 2015 event, "I am a Mummer" bracelets were sold and collectible pins were handed out to those in attendance. While looking forward to the next Mardi Gras Mummers parade in Philadelphia, individuals are encouraged to make a donation to the String Band Associations through "I am a Mummer." As an organization developed and operated by ADVENT Consulting, the producers of Mummers Mardi Gras, wool winter hats are now available for purchase.
Supporters can choose to sport a black or purple wool hat for $15. All proceeds will benefit the storied string bands, helping to make sure the delightful Philadelphia tradition continues for future generations. Those interested in showing their support can also make a donation. All donation are 100% tax deductible.
Plans have been put in motion to begin organizing the 2016 Mummers Mardi Gras event. Show support for the Mummers by attending the second Philly Mummers parade of the year.
