The filmmaker behind an upcoming revenge thriller film entitled "Pickings" has launched an Indiegogo crowd-funding campaign with the release of a beautiful new trailer.
Los Angeles, CA -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/11/2015 -- Usher Morgan, writer/director of award-winning short film "Prego," joins forces with film producer Macarena Carrizosa and cinematographer Louis Obioha to bring their new film to light in 2016. The film follows the story of a single mother and neighborhood bar owner (played by Elyse Price) who gets bullied and pulled into a cycle of violence, murder and terror when she refuses to give in to the demands of a short-tempered mobster. When the mobster and his gang of thugs try to shake down the neighborhood bar, they're soon confronted with the wrath of a mysterious Southern woman with a dangerous past. She's willing to die to protect her children, protect her property and stand up to the biggest racket in town.

The filmmakers are currently in pre-production for this epic revenge thriller and plan to release it to theaters in 2016. The film's new trailer was released on August 6th, 2015. Production for the film officially began in May of 2015 and principle photography is scheduled to begin shortly in the New York City area and Southern US (Mississippi, Georgia) under a $400,000 budget.
