New Film Investigates Bush, Cheney & Iraq War Deceit

Las Vegas, NV -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/09/2015 -- The People vs. Bush/Cheney Et. Al. is a new documentary/drama being produced to shed light on the reality of the Iraq war, the deceit of the cost of war, and the actual cause of the Iraq war.

"Donald Rumsfeld once said that 'people lie and get away with it.' Well, not in this case, Mr. Former Secretary of Defense," Says David LeGrand, Producer of the film. "The People vs. Bush/Cheney Et. Al. will shed truth on everything and will not allow you to get away with it. This movie will be the closest thing to justice Americans have had since this tragedy of a war happened."

This film was birthed after a young soldier wrote an inspiring letter to President George W. Bush, wherein his dying wish was for both President Bush and Vice President Cheney to be put on trial for the lies they told about the Iraq war and for the lives they ruined in the process.

LeGrand says, "The campaign and this film are a cause and is going to raise money to bring awareness and provide financial support for veterans dealing with health issues. Part of the profits will go to programs such as, suicide prevention initiatives, the Wounded Warrior Project and an Iraq/Afghan war memorial."

The Bush administration, and its officials, presented over 935 false statements on the Iraq war and 9/11, which also included 260 statements by President Bush himself and even more from Vice President Cheney. Currently, 30% of all the soldiers who returned from the Iraq war have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and a soldier commits suicide almost every hour. The U.S. war in Iraq has cost trillions with an additional $490 billion in benefits owed to war veterans; expenses that could grow to more than $6 trillion over the next four decades counting interest. These funds could have done wonders for American infrastructure and schools.

"The Bush/Cheney regime, plain and simply, was about profiting from war. Their lies and actions constituted gross negligence. They had the intent to pull the wool over the world's eyes without any systematic accountability for what was really causing the war and what the cost of the war would be. They failed to analyze that the cost would not only be on the American budget and for the American people- but on the lives of those who had to go over to Iraq and fight," LeGrand surmised.

This film, which is now accepting Go Fund Me support for pre-production cost, has been created to place former President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney on virtual trial. Members of the media are encouraged to provide an objective review of this film project, the transparent use of funds from the crowdfunding effort, and to discuss the facts (while separating the lies) with the creators of the movie.
