New Literary Novel Explores the Power of Relationships and Portrays the Price Paid for Emotional Dishonesty

MindStir Media author Marius Broekhuizen releases his latest novel, Promise. The novel centers on Dave Tackett, a teacher haunted by past events that he can’t reveal.

Portsmouth, NH -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/30/2015 -- Promise, penned by MindStir Media author Marius Broekhuizen, has recently launched. A work of literary fiction, Promise examines in great detail the delicate balance required in successful relationships. The novel also focuses on the bitter cost of dishonesty.

From the back cover: Built on the premise that relationships are the most difficult of human endeavors, Promise portrays the ultimate price paid for emotional dishonesty. Lyrical and poignant, the story revolves around Dave Tackett, a seemingly placid teacher living in a small Midwestern town and haunted by past events he can't reveal. Legal actions over a fellow teacher's questionable morals awaken painful memories and trigger a searing flashback that, in turn, brings Tackett to a shocking realization of the consequences of his ethical choices. At times blunt and graphic, this accessible novel compels the reader to its disturbing and unexpected conclusion.

Promise is available at, and other fine retailers worldwide. Wholesale orders can be placed via Ingram and Baker & Taylor. The paperback book retails for $17.99. The ebook is forthcoming.
