Unilever remained the leading company in surface care in 2013, holding a 28% value share, thanks to its wide product portfolio and its Domestos brand, which was strongly promoted in television advertisements. These efforts attracted consumers who were tempted to try the product out. Thanks to these activities the company also recorded the strongest value share increase of two percentage points in 2013 and strengthened its leading position. Domestic company Tatrachema vd Trnava ranked second with its popular Citra and Fixinela brands, holding a 14% value share in 2013.
