New Program Aims to Promote Positive Body Image in the Fashion Industry

A new multi-platform program encourages participants to enroll to demonstrate to global brands, that they have what is takes to be “The Fashion Hero”.


Montreal, QC -- (SBWIRE) -- 08/01/2014 -- The Fashion Hero is pleased to announce that due to unprecedented demand, it will be extending its online voting until August 30. In addition to the 100 members being selected as finalists by the brand partners in September, the program will be selecting five additional members, through online voting, to appear in the filming of the television finale.

Launched earlier this year, the web portal allows members to upload pictures and videos, and show various International brands why they should be the face of their upcoming campaigns. Presenting a truly unique opportunity, this program encourages all participants, regardless of age, body type or gender to take an active role in determining their place in the world of fashion.

“The world needs a new standard to define beauty; it is time to do away with traditional modeling norms and make way for a modern approach,” said Caroline Bernier, Founder of the program. “Individuals across the world will benefit from this one of a kind program.”

The filming of the television finale is scheduled from November 6 to 13 at the Grand Sirenis Resort and Spa, Riviera Maya, Mexico. 130 finalists, from across the globe will participate in the television show, set to air in Spring 2015.
