Gili Islands, Indonesia -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/01/2015 -- Although the core elements of the program remain unchanged there is now an extra day added to the pre-IDC preparation course so as to allow candidates that extra time to prepare for the program. The course once again remains the most popular instructor development program in 2015 and once again Platinum PADI Courses Director Holly has been awarded the Platinum status in recognition of her professionalism and commitment to PADI Instructor Development.
The new schedule for 2016 includes 5 days of pre IDC preparation which is highly recommended to anyone wishing to take the PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC). The preparation course is designed as a review of the Divemaster Course, particularly in respect to the theory and the in water skills. By the end of the preparation course candidates should be fully prepared and ready to make a smooth transition to the PADI IDC Indonesia Program.
The actual PADI Instructor Development Course (IDC) is run on an 11 day schedule and will be conducted at Trawangan Dive, the first ever established PADI 5 Star IDC Career Development Center (CDC) in the Gili Islands. Sessions will be conducted in the classroom, the swimming pool (Confined Water) and in Open Water.
During classroom sessions candidates will participate in both workshops and presentations in Marketing, The 4 E's Sales Workshop, Diver Retention, Diver Acquisition, the Business of Diving, and Risk Management. Platinum PADI Course Director Holly Macleod will conduct a series of Standards and Procedures seminars analyzing those standards that apply to each individual PADI Course or Program and also discuss the procedures that apply to particular situations and of course the ways in which these courses need to be conducted. During classroom sessions candidates will also have plenty of opportunity to take practice examinations in preparation for the PADI Instructor Examination.
During Confined Water Sessions candidates will participate in a variety of workshops including the DSD, Rescue, Student Control and Positioning Workshops. Candidates will also practice and develop Confined Water Teaching Presentations whilst being evaluated by the Platinum PADI Course Director, Holly. There will also be plenty of time to practice the Rescue Exercise 7 and any additional skill practice.
During the Open Water training Workshop Sessions will include the Adventures in Diving Workshop, the Rescue Workshop, Skill Development Sessions, CESA & Docents Workshops, and Student Control Workshops. Individual Open Water Presentations will also be Practiced and evaluated. Candidates will also have plenty of time for more Rescue Exercise Practice on the Surface.
