Palmer Trinity School Varsity Golf Team Takes District Title

 

Miami, FL -- (SBWIRE) -- 11/07/2014 -- The Palmer Trinity Varsity Golf team made school history as the very first Palmer Trinity School Golf team ever to win the District 24-1A Title. The Falcons soared all day following the lead of their tremendous captain, Senior Jackson Fox. Jackson closed out his high school district-level career by posting birdies on three of his final four holes to earn his second consecutive Individual District Title with a school record round of 1-under par 70!

Junior Jack Fumagalli continued his amazi PalmerTrinity.org ng play by placing third in the tournament with a 3-over par round of 74 (he was also third in last year's District Tournament). Senior Daniel Abdelnour also placed high in the individual standings by posting a strong round of 83. Junior Cooper Devine, playing in his first District Tournament, followed closely with a strong round of 84 to round out the Falcon team scoring (the team total of 311 is also a school record). Junior Mike Gravier battled through the lingering effects of an illness to post an excellent round of 85.

The Falcons ended their season placing 6th overall during Regional Finals at the Oaks Course at the Palm Aire Country Club in Broward County.
