Komar's The Hollow Hills Explorer Series is a youth book series set in the fictional Hollow Hills Middle School, a unique middle school where mysterious occurrences are always around the corner. Each book features teenage protagonists who are tasked with uncovering the many mysteries of Hollow Hills, all the while accompanied by their friends, pet dogs, and even a bit of magic.
There are currently three books in this series: The Ghost in the Hollows, Missing in the Hollows, and the latest book Diary of a Teen Explorer, which was published in May 2017. Diary of a Teen Explorer tells the story of Faith Clancy, a student who keeps a diary about her experiences at her new school, Hollow Hills Middle School. Faith finds herself at the center of a mystery when a student disappears, and she's drawn into the group of like-minded teen explorers who must travel back in time to solve the mystery of the missing student.
