East Granby, CT -- (SBWIRE) -- 10/29/2015 -- Pcdata USA noted that the Transportation Intermediaries Association (TIA) released the Second Quarter 2015 TIA Benchmarking Report and the results show that TIA members' experienced over 10 percent growth in truckload arrangements in comparison to the first quarter of 2015.

In a comparison to the first quarter of 2015, total shipments increased almost 10 percent overall. Gross profit margin percent increased for the three primary modes: truckload with a 9.9 percent increase, intermodal 7.5 percent, and LTL 3.2 percent. Fuel continued its steady decline between the quarters, dropping 12 cents per gallon. The report is comprised of data drawn from three categories of members based on revenue; the report represents over 1.6 million shipments and over $2.96 billion in total revenue for Q2 2015.
