The Special Olympics of New Jersey's annual Torch Run has been an NJ law enforcement-sponsored institution since 1984. Through the coordinated efforts of all divisions of law enforcement officers throughout New Jersey, the event has raised millions of dollars since its inception. This year, Chickie's & Pete's Crab House and Sports Bar's Bordentown location was pleased to contribute to the Torch Run's mission by hosting Tip-a-Cop.

"The Torch Run is a great event for a worthy cause," Pete Ciarrocchi said. "Police officers already give their communities a lot, and at Chickie's & Pete's, we're always happy to partner with them and offer anything we can to help them out," he added.

Tip-a-Cop raised thousands of dollars for this year's Torch Run. During the event, police officers who serve the communities in and around Bordentown assisted the Chickie's & Pete's staff with everything from bussing tables and running food to actually seating and serving guests.

All of the money raised at the Chickie's & Pete's Bordentown location through Tip-a-Cop will go directly to the New Jersey Special Olympics.
