Trawden, England -- (SBWIRE) -- 12/21/2015 -- There has been plentiful attention directed towards lingerie and the celebration of the female figure, following a slightly more unusual catwalk in the Austrian capital of Vienna. Rather than opt for an indoor venue, a series of plus-sized women staged a show on a busy high street - modelling only their underwear. The event was designed to bring awareness to the promotion of female body confidence; with the models chosen due to the diversity of their figures. This high-profile event, which has featured in much of the British media also, is expected to increase the demand for flattering, versatile lingerie which recognizes that there is not one 'ideal' version of a woman's body.
The fashion show, carried out in nearly-freezing conditions, involved six women – all who took to a specially-provided red carpet in order to strut their stuff. A range of underwear was modeled, illustrating designs to flatter different body shapes, along with materials such as satin and lace.
