Quezon City, Philippines -- (SBWIRE) -- 09/03/2014 -- People from all walks of life are tired and exhausted due to stress, time constraints and daily 8-5 jobs. Nowhere is that frustration more prevalent than among employees or workers, who work up to 10 hours per day and have limited time to catch fun with their friends and family. What happens if someday a person had a disease? Worst if it is ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis).
Recognizing the challenges people face, Project Awesome rides the hottest viral craze and organizes the “Philippines Ice Bucket Challenge”, an activity designed to have fun as well as help people with ALS, which is set to hold on September 7, 2014, 3:00pm at Quezon City Circle. The ice bucket challenge is designed to further inform the community of the ALS disease.
Students and youth groups will be participating in the said event. “We’ve been challenged by QATAR for a nationwide ice bucket challenge! We’ll answer the call,” said the group.
This is a free outdoor activity anyone interested can join, all a person needs to do is register in the website with thier credentials and they will get enlisted. As a participant, they will get the water and ice tubes at the venue; they are only required to bring their bucket along with them. They will also be free to donate even a peso, which will benefit ALS patients in the Philippines.
“Instead of doing it individually, we want to make this hot trend a nationwide movement. We would like to show the world that Filipinos can also do it as a team,” a spokesman added.
As the very first and only social stunt group based in the Philippines, Project Awesome sole aim is to delight hordes of crowds. The whole idea is to surprise the public unexpectedly! All missions are completed monthly and agents are contacted to see if they would like to participate in the mission.

About Project Awesome
Project Awesome is the Philippine’s very first and only performance mob group based in Metro Manila. We carry out mob pranks, which we call “missions” and performed by “agents” in public places. Our direct goal is to cause scenes of “chaos and joy”, either to inspire people, or to let them experience something different for once in their life.
Some of their missions may include flash mobs, freeze mobs, surprise giveaways, instant musicals, slow-mo mobs, zombie parades, etc. – And anything they can think of! The whole idea is to surprise the public unexpectedly!
